FECEC organises Catalan Cancer Prevention Week (SECAPC) each year, running dozens of activities across the whole of Catalonia. The aim of the events is to promote two basic recommendations for cancer prevention which are within everyone’s reach. The first is to eat a minimum of five helpings of fruit and vegetables a day and to practice moderate physical exercise in your daily life.

Some of the affiliated organisations in the fight against cancer also take part, organising other complementary events. The importance of the preventive nature of Catalan Cancer Prevention Week means that all the activities are aimed at promoting healthy habits that can help cut the number of cancer cases and are therefore targeted at parents, teenagers and the people responsible for deciding on family menus, as well as the public at large.
